Weekdays on the Cowlitz... and then on to the Skykomish!

Post by natetreat » Sun Apr 20, 2014 6:44 am

It's been a breath of fresh air fishing these past few weeks! With the depressing end to our PS hatcheries, it's a nice distraction to get to rope some fish in. I have been really enjoying our weekday trips, don't have to fight the crowds, and the fish are plentiful.

I can't help but get excited about the Skykomish Chinook season next month, even though springers on the Cowlitz are good. We're going to have 2 months of fishing, and we'll get our bonus steelhead too! I'm already booking for June/July, so if you'd like to scoop up the good dates, the best time to get hold of me to plan your trip is right now.

For the weekday drift trips I'm offering $25 off per person, as an added incentive to beat the crowds. It's a win-win!

I know you want a picture, so I'll give you a taste...

North of Falcon just concluded. They have to go through and update the pamphlet, get it printed and delivered to the shelves at Wal Mart. The agreed upon seasons are already set though, so that's how we know.

The Sky info is on the WDFW web site. Half way down the page.

Naw, this is from the 12k day. When they drop it it screws everything up and the bite dies. Yesterday was brutal. Tomorrow will be much better.
