Long Beach in August

Post by corygreenwalt100 » Tue May 20, 2014 7:34 am

I am spending a couple days at Long Beach, in August. Looking to do a little fishing, hopefully for salmon. I will not have access to a boat. Is it possible to fish from the shore and catch anything? What about in Willipa Bay. I read the North River is pretty decent. Looking for any advice or ideas. Thanks for the help.

Fishing off the north jetty for fall kings can be good. Casting a vibrax works well. I've seen some giant sized fish get brought in.

Folks also fish for coho off the north jetty using herring under a bobber.
