Toxic Red Algae?

Post by rojomojo » Sun Jun 29, 2014 9:44 am

Before I make a 12 hour trip for a week long stay, what's going on with this "toxic red algae"?? I hear the water is brown and the only place to catch Chinook are way off Tatoosh.

Comrades, someone local or recent or intelligence on the topic please help. I plan on going Tuesday thru the weekend but if it's bad I'd like some help

Thank you brothers in battle.

I haven't heard toxic. There is some, a lot, coffee colored water. Just fish a spot the water looks normal. Fish are everywhere right now but if you want to hedge your bet, launch early and follow a charter or other boats. Oh, they're all full of mercury and Fukushima radiation so you shouldn't eat them anyway! LOL Don't worry about it, just catch some fish and enjoy your dinner. The weather is a way more important consideration.
