Body of male found floating in the Duwamish River

Post by machewbacca » Sat Oct 11, 2014 8:09 pm

Went down to the Duwamish with a friend, at the Tukwila Community Center, we were walking to find a spot to fish when someone popped out of their spot to ask us if this floating thing looked like a human body... at first it looked like a floating log, if you looked into the water, you could see that the "log" was wearing jeans... didn't see the head... someone else called it in. Based on the news story, police say no foul play... reminder to all fellow fisherman... please be safe.

Finding a body is always adrenaline producing. Not in a good way. Sorry it happened.

That's terrible news. I've often wondered if I'd ever find a body in or around that river.

My neighbor called in the report. He went with his young son to get in some fishing near the Tukwila Community Center. Sad for the victim, tough for my neighbor with his son.

I've found 2 bodies so far. One at Owen Beach after the guy shot himself.Somebody just there before me ran up to a gas station to call it in, neither of us had our cells. The other was in Delong Park in Tacoma. A bunch of friends and I were skipping school and going to someones house to get some weed and passed through the park and found a homeless guy who froze to death.

Last time I went to that spot there was a guy sleeping under the bridge. They managed two drag two couches down there.

The green is a long river. Plenty of area for mischief. Saavy WALAKERS can now refer to this area as the "dead guy hole."

Last year somebody backed there car out of the driveway right into the river she didn't make it either, that was close to the community center. I don't like taking my kid to that river to much crazy stuff and ghetto people. Always carry a gun down there.

It's too bad that scumbags have ruined the banks of the Green. Last year I saw so many used syringes laying around that it was unbelievable.

That is so SAD! [mad]

Carry a gun eh? Really that bad? I was thinking about shooting down there this weekend...might have to second guess that or bring a friend or two.

I have lived in Allentown near the community center for 15 years. Not that bad. I feel safe. And I don't currently own a gun.

I frequent this river also, and I too am pretty disgusted by all the lazy diabetics. How hard is it to find a trash can or a proper sharps disposal unit.

Probably not diabetics, I'd think it was from druggies.

I thought was roving gangs of senior women self-injecting BOTOX.
