Guides on Baker Lake?

Post by 4steelhead » Sun May 17, 2015 11:51 am

I would love to take my wife camping/fishing for sockeye on Baker Lake this summer. It's a beautiful lake, but I don't own a boat or downrigger poles. Does anybody have any guide recommendations? The campsites are filling up fast and I want to get it booked before it's too late. [-o<

I am counting down the days until I can troll Baker Lake again. Beautiful Scenery and big, chrome Sockeye waiting to smoke the drag!

Only problem with Baker is our money hungry Government has decided that commercial guides don't need to be making any money on water surrounded by federal land. They have closed Baker to all commercial activity's making it illegal for us to guide up there. Its a bummer for us and a real bummer for folks like you that would like to enjoy it as well. If you are looking into a Guided Sockeye trip I would recommend Lake Wenatchee. I will be guiding up there this summer
