Planning first time launch at Mukilteo

Post by gottidave » Sun Sep 06, 2015 2:34 pm

Hi guys again

Planning first time launch at Mukilteo and than fish for some coho around shipwreck area.

Low tide is around 7am, mild wind 2 - 3 mph

Any suggested locations / approach from some of you guys that already fished the area in the past few days?

I've looked on John's maps, but there are a few options and would like to plan it in my head a little bit

Will take PM as well.

Hope I'm not spam'ing the forum with this questions.

Thanks in advance

If the weather is good you will have an easy launch. If it picks up in the afternoon the person pushing the boat up on the trailer will get pounded while trying to hold the boat. Let's hope the docks are in the water to break the waves and wind.

When I launched for pinks I was not a fan of the Mulkiteo launch. Once the Everett launch was created and I had a boat suitable for a 20 minute run down to shipwreck I used Everett exclusively.

I tried launching there once when the wind was blowing a little. It just took a few minutes of waiting in line and watching others TRY to launch/load to convince me to never use that ramp. We went to Everett instead.

day went well, even though my expectation was the limit on coho (4). Got only 2.

How did you guys do at shipwreck?

A lot of bots fishing there today, wondering how well did they do.

Thanks
