I think I RSVP'd for this event, Mike, but don't see my name on any list.
What am I doing wrong?

Did you up on the Facebook fishing group event notice? That list, unfortunately, does not translate to this, the "Official" RSVP list. In any case, I've added you now. Are you coming with anyone else? Do you know your potluck item?Johnnie the K wrote:I think I RSVP'd for this event, Mike, but don't see my name on any list.

Re: Lake Chelan Get-Together 2016!
Hey have a couple Questions. Is there specific type of foods or anything? And how much of it?
I have a 12ft Coleman Jon boat I put on the back of my truck. Could I use on lake Chelan to fish? I might try camp there for the weekend. Thanks

Bring a food item that would feed 4-6 people, we'll be providing the main course. Your choice - vegis, fruits, chips, desert, side dish.Mike10gs wrote:Hey have a couple Questions. Is there specific type of foods or anything? And how much of it?

Your boat would be fine to fish as long as you keep an eye on the wind. Chelan tends to have a bit of a day break breeze that often calms to flat water, and then the wind will pick up mid afternoon. Your boat would be fine, especially trolling along the shoreline for rainbows and cutts. If you have downriggers you could fish kokanee right off the state park.
See you there!

OK so I don't think I officially said what I was bringing. Or if I'm even on the list.
Mike10gs +1 bringing the gf and is homemade macaroni and cheese OK?
Also, do any people have suggestion for decent camping spots. Would like somewhere where I could bring a12ft boat off my truck without getting in peoples way too much? I've never been to chelan. Really excited to go. Will appreciate the helps thanks.

Re: Lake Chelan Get-Together 2016!
List Updated, thanks guys.
Mike10gs - this year the event is at the Chelan State Park. There is plenty of camping and the launch will handle your boat fine, with no issues about being in anyone's way. It's too early for the park to accept reservations (I believe they start taking reservations on 5/1). I spoke with a ranger who assured me there would be no issues with finding camping spots this time of year.
Excited to meet so many new people coming to the Get-Together!

Hey Mike Carey,
When you say there will be no issues finding camping spots, does that mean first come first serve? Really excited for this. Thanks

Re: Lake Chelan Get-Together 2016!
Correct, that's what I was told by the State Park ranger when I spoke with him a month ago. Last couple years we had the event at the City Park which has camping. It was never full, even on the weekend.Mike10gs wrote:Hey Mike Carey,

Hey Everyone, I contacted Micah at Life Proof Boats and confirmed they will be bringing TWO boats (18 ft and 30 ft) which they will be giving free boat rides on to guests that attend. So on Saturday you can hitch a ride on one of the coolest made in the Northwest boats you'll ever see!
