Has anyone every had security issues with fishing Ohop Lake not at the boat launch but at the opposite end? There is a place you can pull off the side of the road and a old burnt out car there that has always been for quite some time. I see people fishing there quite a bit but i was going to park there and throw my pontoon boat there rather than have to paddle clear to the other side of the lake. Thanks in advance
Dan

Re: Fishing on Ohop lake
There is a thread on here somewhere about break-ins on various lakes. Try searching for that to see if there are any reports.
I have never parked up there so have no answer for you. In fact Ive only fished Ohop one time and we launched at the lower end and had no problems.
That said - you can have a break in anywhere. There have been many reports from other lakes in that general area - Tanwax, Kaposin and others, so its a good idea to be cautious at all times.
