Crypto question: to sell or not before moving?

I have some crypto in a foreign exchange linked to a foreign bank account and I am also a resident of that country.

Should I sell my crypto before moving to Japan? Do I risk having to pay tax on the crypto should I sell it after moving to Japan?

I don’t see how Japan has anything to do with my crypto or even has visibility into it….
