Do any of you participate in forums other than with WashingtonLakes (the best one)? Which ones do you like and which ones do you recommend people avoid (like ifish)?

Nope, just WashingtonLakes.com! The best source of fishing information in Washington state!

Washingtonlakes.com
Piscatorial Pursuits: a predominately salmon/steelhead forum...Lots of info regarding river fishing and saltwater fishing. Anyone who's been around here long enough remembers when the Washingtonlakes.com forum was on PP. Talk about a lot of posters. Jeez. Hundreds of posts per day...Lots of new threads per day. Really crazy around there...

I'm in the process of getting back on NWBasser.com...

There are a few local BB's to look at. I use to try to read all of them then I realized I didn't have enough time to spend reading all of them. Now I pretty much just read this board and Gamefishin.com.

I remember those days Zen, before WL.com partnered with PP.

I use this and gamefishin.com. I don't care for Bob's piscatorial pursuits because of the colors of the web page.
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

Ohh boy! Of coarse this is the spot, but if I'm not around here I check out Swimbaitnation, and FishingNetwork down in SoCal. I'm not cool enough for NWbasser otherwise I'd hit that up too. I look at and read a couple others but I think the question was which ones we participate in.

I stumbled on this one by chance and I'm certainly glad I did. I haven't really checked out any of the others out there.

Gamefishin.com & Washingtonflyfishing.com are the other sites that I spend a lot of time on. I used to spend a lot of time on Piscatorial Pursuits but all the drama wore me out.

Although most of the info on here is in the northeast and the west side of the state I still get some good local info.
I also participate in washingtonfishingfools.com which has even less local info, but I do enjoy forum and have learned about jig tying and other stuff.
Bigfishtackle.com is a national forum that is nominally informative. The only local stuff is the WDFW reports and I get those in my e-mail. It is a fun forum and I have learned about different rigs, fillet methods and how to clean/oil my reels...well, sort of.
The forum that really changed the way I look at fishing and fish in general is www.roughfish.com it has most of its members from Minnesota and Michigan, but there are members nation wide. In fact, since joining them I have become a roughfisher. That just means targeting different species and methods (I almost bought a fly rod on craigslist) not targeting all the fish that everyone else is with a locker full of electronics on a $20K boat. Fishing with your head not your pocket book not having a guide get you the fish and you reel in your "trophy." It is run by two brothers and they do a live stream once a week on ustream.com that has been very informative for me.

That being said I still log in to www.washingtonlakes.com first thing every morning!

Buy the way gpc, I saw all your reports for the otherday, did not read them because they are too far away, but man thats a lot of water to cover in one day, good on you!

I tried a few others but when I found this one I deleted my accounts with the others.I like this one the best.More of a grass roots kind of feeling. You know what I mean.Way more info on what I want to know about friendlier people more willing to share their knowledge of what they know.Better links to other sites that might help like the wdfw and tide links. For me its a all around better site than others I have been on or browsed. So thanks to evertone for keeping this site alive.Even during the down months whaen fishing can get kinda slow.:thumright

Thanks Lewis. But There is no way I could have hit all those lakes in 1 day. It was actually spread accross the weekend so it took 3 days. On saturday we did hit 3 lakes though. But on friday there was only a few lakes open (march 1st opener) so we only got to fish 1 lake that day. But in that area there is probally 50 -100 lakes, ponds, and sloughs in a matter of miles. So I guess if you waht to fish the hell out of the area spending 2 hours at each lake, you could fish 5 lakes in a day.

Piscatorial Pursuits is one that I mentioned I am a part of earlier.

I figured I should let you all know that it requires some tough skin their. Definitely some guys there who think they are the best and some other guys love to poke jokes at you...But if you can stand it, and i know many can't, these guys really know how to catch fish and most are salmon/steelhead fishermen so if anyone's looking to get some information about fishing in the rivers for steelhead, these guys will help you out.
