There are a few fish here and there in the river but not enough to get excited over. Just like every year you really have to wait until the first really good rainfalls in September. When the river rises so does the amount of fish in it. As far as what to use, just stick with Dick Nites and jigs.

I saw a few below Sultan yesterday evening while I was fishing but no biters. Will hit it again in the morning but mallard83 is right when the river comes up and heads back down hang on!!

Slow. Check the two recent reports, nothing really going on down there (I'd say save some gas for when the bulk of the run is in the river) and go focus out in the salt!

I'd say that the river is actually doing much better than the salt right now.

Did well on the upper Snohomish this morning. Two landed. One 9 pounds & 28", One 8 pounds. One about 6 pounds lost at the boat, two others hooked, played for maybe a minute, then got off. Lastly, I played what we believe was a king around 18 pounds. We chased him in the boat for about 10 minutes (great fight) before he surfaced and we realized he was hooked in the tail. He found a stump and escaped despite the fact he would have been released either way. Great day. Note: a boat with two anglers anchored right by us literally hooked 11 fish that we counted in about 2 hours and were unable to boat a single fish. Frustrating to say the least but they seemed to be having a great time. Detailed report to be submitted in the river report section.

I was curious to hear how it was in 8-2 and 9. Are they not in yet? There were several boats on the river this morning. It was a great time. I baked up a nice big piece of my silver this afternoon and it was great. Gotta love fresh salmon. I am hoping to get out on the salt in the next week or so. Hopefully they will be in thicker by then.

Don't you mean every season for the lockjaw. Snohomish system silvers are notorious for their lockjaw every year.](*,)
