RE:Putting some thought into your question
I hopefully, have provided information to all that have asked. I try not being to tight lipped with the knowledge, to include lures, spots, etc. In the end, this is all for FUN. Enjoying the water, the fish and the friends.

RE:Putting some thought into your question
Swede,
Firt of all I love your enthusiasm but dude, I only understand.....maybe every third word you are posting. I will do my best here and please correct me if I am misunderstanding what you are saying. Possibly make a legend at the bootom of the page so I can refer to it for translation.
I will start all over. 1- I never claimed to be a professional bass fisherman. I think I even stated that I am really new to this bass deal and in over my head. 2- My short stint as a guide was as a fly fiherman. 3- I never made a hero post nor did I flame anyone. I also never told anyone they shouldn't share information. My point was that SOME may be unwilling to share certain information. More importantly and the main point I was attempting to make that you clearly missed is some of that information is USELESS anyway. Telling you I caught a 5 lb. LM on a Senko under the I-90 bridge isn't going to help you put a good day together and if you think it will you may be a lot farther behind the curve than you thought. Thats all. I wrote that post after reading the same question 10 times in a row in response to somones big fish picture. What did you catch it on? That would be like number 9 on a list of 10 more important question that could be asked, unless you are just curious.
Swede I will make you a deal. If you send me instructions as how to post pictures and start speaking ENGLISH I will fill this page with Showtime, as you put it. I am taking a complete guess that you actually mean pictures when you say showtime.

RE:Putting some thought into your question
I wasn't going to get into this but I felt that I had to chime in. The point that some folks are trying to make is that specifics such are gear and location don't mean squat if your not fishing properly. If your the type of fisherman that has trouble catching fish in a trout pond, it would benefit you greatly to fish with a more experienced person and watch what they do and ask them why they do it. Are you the guy who is still fiddling with his gear in the morning while your partner is already into his second fish? If you answered, yes, then lure choice and location is not the issue.
Everyone is different, I think we can all agree on that. Some folks are always willing to provide info while others guard everything they do as if the national security of our country depended upon it. I put myself in the helping category after all our species didn't get this far without the sharing of knowledge. There are always exceptions to any rule and I'm not going to share info with anyone who rubs me the wrong way. I think you all know the type and they have been talked about in this and other posts.
Now if you have a question concerning something this is the place to post it and yes there is such a thing as dumb question but I find that you really have to try hard to come up with one. Over the years interacting with other fishermen and reading as much as I can about the sport I've come across a fairly useful phrase that I've read and heard mentioned on more than one occasion. With fishing it is not so much about what you do right but what you do wrong that determines your fishing success. You can draw up an ultra specific set of instructions on how and where to catch fish and the poor schelp who couldn't catch a fish at the local market would be out there wondering why he can't get a bite. Chances are he's doing something that most of us know to be detrimental to catching fish and until he figures out what it is his "luck" will not change.
Ok, enough rambling. I applaud those of you who help others as much as possible. To those of you who play it close to the vest, guess what? as Kayak Chris mentioned binoculars do work!

RE:Putting some thought into your question
Swede,
I stooped to the level of weiner measuring by giving you a tiny bit of what you call showtime but I screwed it up and it attached to my original post on the first page. You will have to scroll back up to the top. One of the pics attached but has to be opened. This isn't as simple as you guys make it sound. Half of the pictures I tried to attach were too big.

Thanks,I don't think hunting pics really fit in on a fishing site but the Swede called me out on so many levels I felt like I had to supply a few flavors. I was trying to press? I think? I am still trying to learn Swede Bonics.

The bear was at 5,200 feet, East of Lake Roosevelt, Mid August, Evening, 68 degrees, 100 grain shuttle-t-lock broadhead on an Easton Axis arrow shot from an old Mathews MQ1.
Mulie was just outside Buffalo Wyoming North of HWY 82 at 4600 feet, 150 grain boat tail .300 mag, Mid October high 30's
Steelhead- Methow river early November swinging a Skykomish Sunrise on a shooting head
I hope somome is able to use that invaluable information to make their next outing a memorable one. That was supposed to be humorous.
I am so ready for a new topic. I think I am going to wait and respond however rather than start a thread myself.

I’m with ya Dez! And while we’re all sharing lil tidbits…I’ll give a shout-out to Dez (I know he won’t mind). My personal experience is that if anyone wants to know anything about trout fishing… Dez is the man. From my personal experience…the information and details he shares is truly amazing!! :bom: I really believe he’s a true troutster…in a bass disguise!! :batman: I really do appreciate all the information posted here and try to contribute what I can as well. I have nothing to hide. DC is right…it is easy to be misunderstood though…I suppose it comes with the territory. Keep up the great threads!
