Bainbridge Sewage
BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, Wash. - Bainbridge Island crews are repairing a damaged sewage pipe that's been dumping thousands of gallons of wastewater into Eagle Harbor since Saturday.
Bainbridge Island Public Works crews have been out since 4 a.m. Monday preparing the pipe and will assess how bad the damage is. If the damage is light, they should be able to put on a new metal band to repair the leak. If it's more expensive, they will replace the pipe segments. Either way, they expect the work should be done by noon.
That is extremely nasty. I can't believe this is helping the fishing.Sewage is sewage even if its from the wealthy Bainbridgereites.

When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

If the article said Thousands of gallons I'd hate to know how much really spewed out. That must be a low estimate.

This ain't a political issue, it's an environmental issue. It affects fish and wildlife negatively. That's bad. End of story.
The fish. They are laughing at me. Can you hear them?

RE:Bainbridge Sewage
They had a new article today. This is just a part of it
It wasn't until low tide on Sunday morning that crews were able to put a temporary metal band around the pipe, which stopped the flow of solid matter into Puget Sound. Even so, liquid waste was still getting through at an estimated rate of 1,400 gallons an hour.
Public Works crews believe about 70,000 gallons of raw sewage has already entered Eagle Harbor, and they estimated roughly 140,000 gallons of raw sewage has spilled into Puget Sound. Thats alot of sewage for a Island that claims to be so Green friendly.
