My trusty kicker motor gave a bunch of steam out of the water pump discharge hole, then the motor smoked big time and froze up (it's current state). I'm guessing the water pump is toast, have no idea if it sustained more serious damage. I can't fix it myself and it's not worth taking to a mechanic (I'm told). But if someone knows small motor repair or needs parts I'm selling it. I had the lower unit totally rebuilt a couple of years back so that part is good anyway. $200 and a little elbow grease could get you a nice running motor. e-mail me: mike@washingtonlakes.com
