I finally got around to completing it. This is the same one that caught a largemouth bass while I was field-testing it when it was still unpainted.

Before

This time, I used a super cheap airbrush that I bought a long time ago and forgot about until I did a little spring-cleaning in the garage. The dark green strip was done by dabs with a hand brush.

After

This is what I call Islandbass’s baby bass color scheme.

There is still a lot of improvement in painting, but I think I am getting better with each try.

I can’t wait to try this out.

Very well done Islandbass ... looking forward in seeing and hearing of the reports of this lure as it is tested over and over again.
'course they don't have biscuits and gravy ... but if they did, I bet everyone would eat there.

I admire you work of arts here island , Okay im gonna need you to step it up a lil bit .. On the next creation can you explore making a hollow body so that you can add rattles inside these cranks .. I KNOW , I KNOW !! easier said than done , but i have total faith in you .. LUKE, MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU !!:batman:

drill a hole and pop in one of those protroll echip deals, they have a steel ball that ounces back and forth in the tube........rattle and + charge.

I'm with you already, we must be thinking alike! After the first crankbait, my mind started thinking about making a rattle trap type of bait! I have a plan to hollow out the insides and I am going to use a certain type of metal for the rattles that I don't think anyone has tried yet. As with many of these projects fly by the seat of my pants philosophy is followed. I'll keep you posted. Argh, the anticipation is killing me!:alien:
