Post by KUP » Mon Mar 01, 2010 9:46 pm

Stop by and say hi at the Muskie booth!
Can't wait to see everyone again and meet some new faces.
I just received some DVD's I bought made by a few of the local Spokane anglers.
Looks like fun!

Not only am I a happy member of Chapter #57,
I am also the Vice President of Internal affairs for Muskies, Inc. International.
One of the purposes in presenting the booth at the Spokane Show is to invite local muskie anglers, who may be interested in forming their own Chapter, to stop by the booth. Since the inception of the Chapter #57 on the Westside, it was always discussed and planned to help start a new independent Chapter on the Eastside, near Spokane. If that is accomplished, it would be the 60th Chapter of Muskies, Inc. !!!
So stop by the booth and get some information on how you can be part of history and benefit from being part of a National Organization that has helped turn the tide of Muskie Fishing in the United States. Benefits are:
• A subscription to the national magazine MUSKIE, featuring tips, techniques and travel ideas as well as product information, local chapter and tournament reports and of course---members photos!
• You can get your picture in a national magazine with one of your tiger muskies!
• Grants available from the International to help your Chapter,
• Insurance coverage in Chapter events,
• The ability to fish with any of the other great clubs in the Midwest and to take take out visiting members from there when they come out here for vacation. We have met some fantastic Midwest anglers and their families!
• One national voice [thumbsup]
There are over 7,500 members nationwide and they have donated, raised and saved over 41 million dollars for muskie research, conservation and stocking.
We invite you to become a part of the international fellowship of anglers who enjoy fishing for the elusive, majestic muskie… a fish considered to be one of the most exciting of all fresh water species.
Would the Eastside like their OWN chapter? You'd have the camaraderie of local esox fans and have tournaments, local meetings, raise money for club outings and the WDFW and build your club with your friends and family from the Great Inland Empire!
We at Chapter #57 are happy to help you get started! Stop by and find out how to meet all the quality muskie anglers in your area. And be sure to tell us “the stories” if you are an expatriate from Minnesotah or “Sconsin!:viking:

Before you go, make sure you print off a bunch of copies of our Silver Lake Open Tournament that Norm Dillion has put together to pass out at the show. It is definitely going to be a good time (Spokane sportsman show and our Silver Lake Open Tournament). I wish I could go to the spokane sportsman show. Darn work getting in the way of everything.

Bill and I are planning on going to the show on Saturday and we're looking forward to visiting with Perry, Jani and Chuck (a member from Colville) that are going to be manning the Chapter 57 booth. We are going to stop and see Mike and who ever is helping him at the WL.com booth too. We are looking forward to seeing what this show is like since we are living on the dry side now.:bounce:

The Big Show is going great! Talked to a LOT of PIKE guys yesterday, too. You are right Buddy - they are as crazy for their fish as we are ours!! What fun. I heard some new stories yesterday, too, and I thought I had heard all of the fish stories, ever, lol. What a great friendly town Spokane is - nice bunch of anglers and outsoorsman. Now I know why Bill and Rosann moved East!
The show wraps up today and we are looking forward to talking to more muskie/pike anglers. There is a big interest in the Silver Open and of course the Curlew 24 Hour. So if you are near town today, stop on by - it is a great show with lots if exhibitors and some fantastic seminars. Rosann and I and Bill took in one of the Walleye seminars put on by Seth and it was fantastic! Can't wait to get out on Banks/Roosevelt and catch some tasty 'eyes! Yes, Seth, we'll be sure to put the big girls back!
And a BIG Thank you to fellow TIGER PAC Member Chuck Gaddes who came over from Colville and volunteered to sit for a spell in the booth. It was great to have all his experience on the eastside lakes! Bill & Rosann stopped by for a long visit too and it felt like old times with Rosann and I doing booth duty while the guys went off and played (bought!) Chucks's son Chris stoped by too with his two young sons. Chris is another valued Chapter #57 Member who lives near Post Falls and he sure saved us some time by dropping off a Silver Lake flyer to Cabelas on his way home. Thanks Chris!!
Another big treat was having Muskie/Pike fan Keith (Gone Fishin) stop by! Congrats on the new job! Always good to catch up with you.
And of course Mike Carey and crew from washingtinlakes.com, fun boothmates! Good to see so many vendors from the Puyallup Show- it really starts to turn into a "Show Community" lots of fun and lots if talking!!!It was also good to see so many of our State Representatives stop by the booth and say hello! Thank You!

Hope to have a safe trip home tonight after a full day of talking muskies and the possibility of a new Muskies, Inc. Chapter, for Spokane/Idaho anglers:LOTS of interest-more later!

We had a great time seeing all the different booths at the show, some we'd seen before but lots of new ones too. New stores to check out too. Nice seeing you Perry and Jani and getting to meet Chuck, sorry we missed meeting Chris and his kids. I was going to post some pics I took of you guys but can't figure it out so I'll e-mail them to you Jani and you can post them.

Thanks, Rosann! Here you go:
And Brett's custom lure (which he generously donated to the raffle) raised just as much excitement as that $300 St. Croix rod!!
Take a look at that money wheel in front of Bill - we almost have it filled! Some lucky person is going to get to keep 1/2 of that and the other 1/2 goes to the Tiger Muskie Program and WDFW!! It was a very successful Show, so glad we went and met so many wonderful people.
Now, can't wait to hear the report from the Lacy Cabela's Store- we had a Muskies, Inc., table there, too, all weekend -- we are a busy club!!:bounce: :bounce:
