But Sam, come on, focus. I had you as a favorite to win this thing. Get out there and represent for the Captains and Commanders.
We might throw a little salt contest. Let's do the fresh first and see how it goes (so far great). I might have to put size limits on the next contest though.

Gringo, I think I heard your wife say that she had a lot of work around the house that needs to get done. You also might want to pick up some overtime for the up coming Christmas season. :clown:

LOL. I should have consulted with you on the rules before I started. That is actually a good one.

I know fishnislife, I figured I'd have a decent shot at winning it too. LOL. But unfortunately this contest started too late as I'm out of state and at college for a while. Otherwise, I'd probably spend a full day and hit the lakes hard and try and find all these species.

If it was summer, I'd have plenty of time to be out on the water for this contest..

Come on guys (and girls), you all need to start trash talking, Mark is running away with. I was cracking up when you HAD to mention your recent BIG FISH win AGAIN....I'm not gonna trash you bro, after all, you did give me a tow back to the beach.

PANFISH brutha.
Why did you catch one?

sadly, no.](*,)

Went to a lake this morning that has bluegill, perch, rock bass, trout, carp, catfish, and bass. I have caught most of these species at this lake before. I Trolled pop gear with a wedding ring tipped with nightcrawler. Caught a largemough. Fished a tiny jig tipped with nightcrawler. Caught a largemouth. I'm starting to think I am only capable of catching bass.

All the recent posts had me a bit nervous that I was out. Phew, at least im still in the running....

Im also trying to catch everything from my house, but two things went horribly wrong. First, my neighbor<The Thumb> had some family stuff so there went the fishing boat. My boat isn't complete, so I cant use it to fish. I may bust out the tugboat just to get out on the water (shes in drydock right now for maintenance, but you guys are pushing me to put it back in the water). Secondly, Im on a 48 hour shift and the weekend isn't looking promising to fish either, then another 24 hours monday. Ahhh!

Went out in search of trout behind the dam. Two strikes, one was on and off, one was on, run, up to the surface, and crazy. What really was heartbreaking was that the fish gets on the surface, tailwalks quite a ways, showing me that it was a trout, then I can see the glint of my spoon go flying away from the fish's mouth. Ugh.

Back to square one on the trout. Bought some hooks for the carp, but that might be a challenge this time of year. Maybe Ill try to find a bullhead as well, but the water temps are down in the 50s already.....

Here is a shot of the tugboat, as you can see its the fishing machine of choice:

Whew, glad to hear it Gisteppo because I think this last one is going to be a little tougher for me. Thinking I might have to turn to the wildcard and find me a squawfish. Tonight I ran down to Greenlake and tried for Carp as that seems to be the only place there are any reports for them around here. Didn't get any. I also decided that since these guys were gettin on me about pulling the fish out of my aquarium and using them for the contest I would refrain from pointing out that they are actually bigger than the ones most of them have posted to date and instead start to upgrade the ones I already have while searching for that elusive 5th fish.:-" (see the new trout pic above)

Good luck to you!

Oh and by the way.. I had to pick up my wife from the airport tonight (sent her away for the week so I could concentrate on fishing.:-$ ), on the way home we stopped for Chinese. After dinner I opened by fortune cookie and it said "You May Win A Contest" I tried to take a pic to post, but my camera sucks and I wasn't able to get it to focus. But I am guessing since I have ancient chinese fortune on my side - you all are toast:king:

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

Between the hat (I still say it's the jacket) and the fortune cookie we don't stand a chance. I think I'll just go back to catching bass. Next time find a restaurant with a koi pond :-"

Yellowbear...no such thing as "nothing big enough to take a picture of"....scroll up and check out the "bait" that's been submitted as "fish"

LOL

Put your pride aside and snap away...looks like we're in the 4th quarter of this thing.

That bass was caught on a Silver Rapala this morning, but everything else failed. I wonder why the dinks love me most?

"the1fishingpro"...you just can't get enough of the contraversy can you??? That trout picture IS OBVIOUSLY "photoshopped", and a BAD photo shop job at that. I thought you were on your "Sorry Tour", now this...dude, take a break from the board for a while, you're cheating on a online fishing tourney, what's next??? Hell, use that same picture for all your fish, why not

Post all the pictures you want, you're not getting your name on any plaque I make.[-x

Are we at a point of taking a poll on the board to vote ("the1fishingpro") off the board. I mean, I've been sitting here silent, thinking this guy is a joke,,, but SERIOUSLY,
after the pathetic Photo-Chop on the contest this is really distracting and ridiculous.
Sure it is an open to the public kind of place, but it really is getting a bit much. Some people would say just ignore the issue,, but I get psyched to see who is catching what in the contest, and then I tune into crap like that.
