Bread and Butter Pickles
Phewww.. Pickles are now done. I made 24 pints of sweet sliced cukes. I cant eat too many cause all the sugar but they came out real good. Next is pesto.
Re: Bread and Butter Pickles
Nice! Have you tried adding jalapenos & garlic cloves? mmmmmmmmm

Yes. I grow hot peppers. I've made some with Jalapenos, cayanne, hot thai, and habaneros. this summer was good for growing hot peppers.
Re: Bread and Butter Pickles
We did pretty well with our habaneros & banana peppers this year but for whatever reason, I couldn't get my jalapenos to do much of anything. Glad you had good luck with them

I mulch alot of horse manure in my yard. I usually grow my peppers in a 5 gallon bucket to help keep them warmer then the ground. I got friends with horses so I pick up alot of truckloads a year. Everyone here on site knows that Racfish can spread the manure well. Hahaha

Build a man a fire and he's warm for the night. Light a man on fire and he's warm the rest of his life!
