Coast Guard TV show

Post by BARCHASER10 » Sat Feb 22, 2014 1:03 pm

Cool TV show, "Coast Guard Cape Disappointment" on the Weather channel. Its on Sunday nights, but they repeat episodes all through the week. Its about CG boat and helo rescues at the Columbia Bar and all over the coasts of Oregon and Washington.

I watched the first two episodes, Mayday Monday and one other. Both had 3-4 rescues on each show. Rescued four old guys in an Alumaweld, capsized and all were in the water and didn't look too good. A couple and two dogs from Idaho in a small open aluminum boat capsized near Astoria Bridge. Helo rescue of a logger with two broken legs near Gales Creek. Several other rescues also.

I've fished out of Tillamook Bay and Buoy 10. The show should interest anyone who fishes the salt.
