Ocean Shores Marina/Lauch is closed

Found out the hard way this past Friday that the Quinault Marina & RV Resort, in Ocean Shores, was closed about a month ago. Despite the crummy launch, I liked the fact that it received much less pressure than Westport and one could dump the boat a couple miles up the road into Duck Lake to desalinize everything before making the long haul back home.

I never used that launch but I had heard about it. I wonder why it close? Westport is still a fast and cheap ramp compared to the Puget Sound area ramps. I do hate the stench of the pelican perch.

It needed dredging.... I could speculate as to why it didn't get done... but, I'll refrain. WP, $5 to launch or a $50 yearly pass. The grocery store in WP is open again under new ownership.
