I don't know if it was stupidity, maliciousness or just a grand oversight, but after finding the lake on the map, looking up the comments, calling the Navy and talking to someone at the base, I showed up to fish and found out that the public is not allowed on the lake anymore (since 9/11) unless they are retired Navy or are sponsored by someone in the Navy. Now call me a crank if you want, but SOMEBODY could have mentioned this little fact before going on the fish caught etc.
