fished lake crescent for many years before they went to catch and release, and no downriggers. this was about 5 years ago. went back up june 1rst and 2nd. two of us caught 19 fish. five of them, went from 4 to 10 pounds. we used what we call cpr.[catch-photo-release]. the new regs are max two ounce weight, single barbless hooks and catch and release. artifcial lures. no power bait. fishing license needed
[olympic nation park]. troll a large fly or 4 inch salmon plug
about 200 or 250 feet behind the boat at 1.5 to 1.8 mph.
best to use braided line. the rock screens or eagle point is your best spots. log cabin resort is the best place to stay. what a beautiful spot. they have photo albums there from years back.
you wont believe the size of these wild fish and the number of them. october should be very good thanks---steve---
