Had a whole day to fish and decided to give Campbell a try. Never fished there before.

Trolled a green wedding ring with worm and caught a nice 16" rainbow in the first 15 minutes. Had to use light weight because it is weeds on the bottom almost throughout the entire lake. It was hard deciphering weeds and the 4" bass and perch. After a while decided to thorw on a small jig and just catch some perch. Caught a ton of small perch and bass just about everywhere. Kept 1 6" bass because he was gonna die anyway.

The water is about 10-13 feet deep everywhere. Found one 20 ft spot on the south side of the island. Fished everywhere, like I said had the whole day. Caught 6 nice sized perch in about 5 ft of water along the North Shore. Lots of weeds, you just have to fight them to get the fish.

Afternoon I was fishing the docks and rocks along the East shore and with a white crappie jig caught a 6" crappie. I didn't even know they were in there. I was just hoping to get a big perch, the crappie really took me off guard.

Threw the green wedding ring back on and trolled back out to the island. Caught another good sized perch in the first few minutes with the wedding ring. Went all the way around the island and on the way back to the dock I caught 1 more nice rainbow.

Saw 1 other fisherman out there and he had 2 nice Rainbows as well and he hadn't been out there as long as me. Not too windy, no rain, little chilly but oh well, better than work. 2 Rainbows, 7 Perch and 1 bass just got cleaned.

Good fishing.
