Tried trolling for coho in the late afternoon and decided to target perch. That was my plan since fishing on the sound has been dismal for coho. I've heard lots of reports of seeing fish at the locks but darned if you'd catch em on the way in so I decided to try the lake. No go. I did see 2 jump off the area near st. Edwards park. Perch fishing very good. Kenmore area, 50' of water, small wee dick night spoon tipped with nightcrawler. You catch a few and then the swarm under the boat starts with the fish finder showing lots of fish. Everytime the line goes down another one. Kept about 30 and had for dinner. Take a kid fishing now. This is the best time for perch and they provide constant action once found. They were all average size, no jumbos this time.
