opening day brings out the best in a guy when fishings basically your addiction! myself and my grandson ventured out before daylight to our favorite little lake close to homebase in othello. My grandson was so excited that grandpa invited him on his 2nd official opening day extravaganza. he made himself a couple peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and a juice box and as usual shared with granpa who always toughs it out without packing a lunch. anyways as the sun rose. we hiked in about quarter mile to our hotspot. and within the first 5 minutes both had landed beautiful rainbow trout. They ranged between 10-14 inches but were very fat and fulla fight. We used rainbow colored power bait #6 Gamigatsu hooks on slip sinker setup about 10 inces leader. fishing was very very good. We limited out. So 10 fish about an hours fishing and both my grandson and old fatboy Rog himself were happy campers if you wanna know were our hotspots at..park at the pulloff for south Teal and walk on the north shore until you see a big rock extending into the lake..about 1/4 mile fish close to shore and enjoy. warning though keep any youngsters close at hand because the water drops off deep fast were we fish and . worrying about there safety is always on Granpas and Daddys minds! but don't let that detour your taking a kid fishing!... its like..fishing license 23.00.......Film to take pictures 10.00....... seeing the children smile when they catch that first fish..PRICELESS! take care everyone and until next time God bless you and yours Fatboys gone fishin again
