Took the day to "work from home" ; ) and decided that on my 4 hr lunch break, I'd go fishing for the first time in 2007. Fenwick is relatively close to my home so I decided to go there despite never actually catching anything.

This time was a little different, to my luck the weather was cloudy and slightly gray, but like a school yard bully, threatening but never lived up to it.

My equipment:
I like the exercise of kayaking and love to fish, so naturally I've equipped my cobra sit-on-top kayak with a fishing basket and rod holders and had recently purchased a couple of weddingring spinners.

After a few minutes setting up I was on the water and paddling along trailing behind me a red wedding ring and a 1.25 inch rapala.

10 minutes in I had a quick hit on the wedding ring. GOOD TIMES! All in All, after about 15 laps of the lake, I landed 5 and released 4. The wedding ring was great for the smaller trout about 8-10 inches. The rapala did attract some fatties about 12 inches.

It was a great time. Exercise and fishing, what a great combo.
