Mike and I met Barry at Deer Lake for Opening Day. We fished from the dock at the retreat located across the lake from the WDFW access. All in all a pretty good day. There were two groups of two guys on either end of the dock and we were in the middle of the dock. The guys on the ends of the dock got their limits early and were out of there before 9 AM. We had to work a little harder for our fish and we fell short of our three person limit. Barry and Mike caught a few and I caught zip. Barry had to leave a little earlier than Mike and I, we fished till noon. Red or orange Powerbait with a little stink juice was the ticket today.
