Started fly fishing about 10:30 a.m. Monday from inflatable raft. Used Black or Brown Doc Spratley with gold tinsel. Caught and released (uninjured) in the two days about 80 fish from 10-12 inches, hooked one (that got away) guessing around 24 inches. Caught 2 larger rainbows, one 19 inches, the other 18 inches. Caught fish in deep water and above weed beds. Kept 2 daily limits. Caught several in the 10-12 inches that appeared to be "triploids" (different in color and flesh white, instead of pink). Caught some brook trout down on lower end of lake in southwest corner, all small 10-11 inch, released all. Small brown caddis hatch was in progress Monday evening and Tuesday morning around protected edges of the lake. Caught some on caddis emerger imitation, hits most frequent just after fly rested and sank below surface.

Fishing seemed to be best in early to late afternoon. Very windy in mornings, really need to anchor in small raft.

Saw family of otters in the lake and mountain goat on mountain above lake and rock slide. Saw and heard loons on the lake, a beautiful peaceful setting.

Campground not friendly toward any units over 24 ft. Boat ramp in desperate need of work, steep and deep ruts leading to water's edge.
