Man, I sure love this lake. I used to fish this lake almost every day. My friends used to call it," Shane Lake", because I was there so much. I have caught so many big fish there, including a nice 4 pound Largemouth ice fishing. So this past weekend, I was in town for the holidays. I know it must be some kind of sin, but I snuck out anyways and took a little trip to my lake. I found two crazy guys on the fresh ice fishing their little hearts out. So I ventured out onto the ice with shaky knees and talked for a while. As we talked fishing one of the guys got a nice bite and pulled out a cute little iddy biddy trout, probably 9 inches. He was using just worm with a glow bead above it, with a unfortunate squirt of WD40. Bad boy, but that's his trick. Anyway, my wife had my rod in her car so I just got a nice show as the two caught their limit in front of me. Luckily the two didn't mind the ice cubes falling from my eyes as I walked back to the car. Good luck and use jigs, they just love jigs!
