Great day on the water. Dropped the boat in at about 7:30am. The state launch was a real mess, ended up parking way up the road after I dropped in. That was probably the only negative of the day. The fishing was great as always! Fish were biting across the entire lake. Trolled every aspect of the lake throughout the day. Avg. fish was in the 12-15" range. I saw several people pulling in 2-4 #ers though. My big chance came at about 6:30pm when I hooked into about a 3#. Great fighter, but through my hook out while jumping. This fish was hooked while trolling. Besides this fish, the biggest trout were caught still fishing with worms. Most of the day was spent trolling everywhere from 10ft. to the bottom. Caught fish in all ranges. The best method of fishing this water for me is a Wedding Ring variation. The lake was packed in the morning, but the population went down as the day went on. Trolled in various speeds throughout the day, but found a medium speed worked the best. Weather was windy, water was choppy and dirty. Best fishing was morning and afternoon. I got off the water at about 6:45pm, and I am assuming it would have heated up right about then until dark.
