As I saw a crappie caught next to the Heritage Park boat ramp, my son and I tried some jigging using some very long collapsible poles purchased in Korea. No luck on the crappie, but with a half night crawler and a half crawler/nitro bait combination we both had simultaneous strikes landing twelve and thirteen inch trout. This was directly off the end on the dock in about 10 feet of water. My son also caught a male perch. We only stayed about an hour and a half. Trout fishing seems to be a little slower with the good weather. The water is pretty clear for Lacamas Lake. It quickly looses clarity with even moderate rain.
Boaters returning to the dock are picking up some bass fishing uplake.
