Nice day to go fishing minus the wind but that was to be expected. Wasn't able to fish the lake Saturday, but didn't want to be part of that zoo either. When I arrived the dock was pretty loaded but I found a spot, all the while an older gentleman told me that a certain boat was bound to be in my way from the word go. He was pretty close to correct. Why is it that boaters who have access to the whole lake have to put their boat right where your going to cast?

In 10 minutes I had my first fish, small but it was what I expected. I figured I'd loose more fish than I would land much like last year but that wasn't to be the case. The first three fish were all in the 9 - 12 inch range and came quickly. I started to wonder why everybody else said the lake was slow today. Then came the wait for fish 4. After an hour and a half I had 4 fish but the I would never see my fifth fish or 7th semi strike for that matter, I left after fishing for about 2 3/4 hours.

I will likely be back.
