I had a guest join me for opening weekend and I decided to take him to my favorite fishing spot. On Saturday we both limited in 2 hours on a combination of Rainbows and Kokanee. We did not make it out to the lake until after 2 pm on Saturday so we missed the initial opener rush. The fish were all under 11 inches.

On Sunday we were in the water before 6:30 am. To start off we anchored by the cattails north of the launch. After a couple of hours and only 1 fish we started trolling. Fishing was a little slower than Saturday but we were getting bites right off the bat. Pete ended up catching a nice fat rainbow that spooled his little ultra light rig that he was using. We had to be off the water by 11am but I still ended up with my limit and Pete had 4.

I think Pete is now hooked on trout fishing.
