We put in the water about 1100. It was a little overcast with a slight bit of wind, but not too bad really. Got one nice 14 incher right off the ramp and proceeded to drift-troll down the east side of the lake. We got quite a few bites, but landed no fish. They were pretty finicky. We still fished around the north end of the lake for an hour or so with even fewer bites and no more fish in the boat. The wind picked up as we trolled back towards the ramp and the water was white capping.. we couldn't make any headway in the canoe with the pontoons out so we raised them and made a try for it. HA! after a few very exciting minutes we put the pontoons back down and decided to head for the shelter of the north end and let it die down. After about another hour we were able to ease up the east bank and make it to the ramp. We ended up losing 4 or 5 fish right at the boat and we took 2 fish home. I've had better days, but it sure as heck beat workin!
