Dave I think we had our first experience running into each other, as there was only one other vehicle dropping in - first thing in the morning. Began the day trolling a wedding Ring variation, but it fished much slower than average. I spoke with a few other guys who also agreed the morning fished pretty slow. Once the sun started beating down a little harder the bite picked up as well. I also began to still fish using worms, which produced much bigger fish for me. Biggest was probably about 19 inches. Average fish size was about 12 inches. (fishing with worms can be a hassle on this lake as you will bring in probably just as many bullheads as trout if you are on the bottom. Overall I fished from daybreak until 3:30, and the best time of day was definitely from about 10a until the time I got off the water. Spent most of the day at the far end of the lake in the narrows. The fishing was really about the same everywhere I went. It was avg/good (It was a great day, but slowed down a lot from the opener). There were also a lot less people on the water than the opener which made it nice. Still several boats though. The best part of the day was tying down when a kid had come in with his stringer and had a 5+ #er tied up. It was the biggest fish I had seen caught on this lake. I have pulled 3 and 4 #s, but never this big. He caught it down in the narrows.
