Got to the lake at around 4pm for a little sight seeing and scouting mission. The parking lot was almost full and the dock was packed with PowerBait soakers. They had stringers in the water with 5 trout total on them. A couple of nice stocker trout but nothing to brag about. I walked a little around the lake and tossed the line in a few times to try my luck. But with my earlier strickout at SandyShores I figured today was not my day. I was using a jig under a bobber and didn't even get a courtesy bite. There were a couple of float tubers flying and a kayaker and 2 guys in a boat. I saw the flyers catch a trout and one of them mentioned catching 14 throughout the day. The boaters landed and released a dink trout while I was there. Had a good time hanging out in the nice warm weather at the lake. The only thing that could have made it better would have been a fat bow on the end of my pole. Next time! Tightlines guys.
