Went out along eastern shoreline of Tapps Island. Started at about 8pm with about a 5" rapalla casting from shore. No luck. Switched to a chartreuse plastic, bumping the bottom, casting from shore. Caught a nice 2.5 lb smallmouth 2nd cast. Ended up catching 5 bass and 2 crappie in about 1.5 hrs of fishing. first time I have ever caught any crappie out of this lake. Got allot of snags fishing this way, but was worth it. I think having a hook that wasn't extremely sharp enabled me to get most of my tackle back. need to set up something weedless maybe.
