Went back to LaCamas with my boat. It was not too crowded, but a little windy. My son and I first went to the fallen tree just north of the Heritage Park boat launch. As we approached it I could see a crappie holding under one of the underwater limbs. We pulled several crappie out of this structure then in an effort to get out of the wind, squeezed under the Highway 500 bridge into round lake. Not much action there at all although we picked up a couple off sunken logs in the SSE side of Round Lake. We returned to LaCamas, picked up a couple of more fish in the tree then left for home about 5:30 pm. One thing that fishers from the bridge might want to know- the fish finder had almost no signs of fish in the water channel between LaCamas and Round lakes. (Sometimes after a heavy warm rain this is a good place to pick up brown trout. when the current is heavy between the two lakes.) Good water clarity in both lakes; about 7 feet.
