Fishing off from Ruby's Dock.

Very, very, wild weather, very strong winds, huge white-capped waves that topped the dock many times. No other fishermen on the lake...too dangerous.

Ruby (The Lady of the Lake) had the "Fish On." The largest rainbow trout I have ever seen...a full 36 inches (measured briefly against the dock pilings when it stopped thrashing for a split second).

Can you say...immense!...so, large and heavy, it could not fit in the two foot wide net opening or be lifted unto the dock. This fish was much larger than the 28'' trout caught last year. Finally, the 4 lb test line broke.

This truly was the one-that-got-away, but also worth reporting. I am glad I got to see it, but, also glad it got away...because now I know that out there, in the deep waters, is a real "heart-stopper"of a trout, just waiting, hopefully, for my next cast!.
