Went over to P/H's Fri, Sat, Sun. Fished Lind Coulee on Fri. eve, no luck. Sat. got up at 4:30, and blazed out to crab creak. Kind of windy, had trouble with boat control, but managed 1 18" eye on a green and pink wallypop. Then my trolling motor died, and was a constant source of frustration the rest of the weekend! Battled wind and white caps back to Mardon resort, stayed off the water till that eve when the wind died down a little. 3 of us headed out to the same area and had more trolling motor trouble. Decided to drift with 3/8s oz. yellow and orange jigs tipped with crawlers and picked up 1 21" eye. Nice fish! Fished Sun. also with no fish. came in early, had a fish fry brunch, then packed up and drove home in the pounding rain. All in all a good w/e despite the problems, enjoyed time w/ my 8 y/o son and saw deer, beavers, grebes and countless other birds. Tight lines
