we put in the lake at 1400. we had our doubts about fishing here today as when we pulled up and looked at the water, it was a dark greenish-brown. after getting on the water we could tell that it was all the pollen and whatnot floating in the air that was responsible for the color change. bubba caught the first fish within about 10 minutes. after that is was a pretty slow go until we got to the north end of the lake and butted up to a log and started still fishing. there was only one boat on the lake when we got there and it was a peaceful afternoon of fishing in the sun. the fish proved to be alot more picky than usual and we ran the gamut of colors of powerbait. at first salmon color was the ticket but then it switched to chartreuse for us. we pulled up to the ramp at about 1745 and had to wait for 3-4 people to launch that came for the late afternoon-evening fishing. we left a little after 1800 with both our limits, the largest fish being between 15-16 inches. a great day on the lake. we all got a little sunburned, even ratman our new fishing buddy.
