Pretty productive afternoon/evening on Horseshoe Lake in my kayak. Picked up probably a half-dozen or so 8-10" bass on Texas-rigged watermelon/red flake lizard at the north end of the lake around submerged brush and logs. Then I got one that pushed 3lb in between the lily pads on the same lure and another that looked to be the same size (until he spit it out) under a dock. Also had chunky two-pounder and another dink on a green pumpkin Zoom horny toad skimmed over the surface above a submerged picnic table. The big one nailed it as soon as it hit the water; I hadn't even finished one revolution on my reel. All were released to be caught again another day. Weather was perfect, just a light breeze and only one or two other boats on the lake. Everyone else appeared to be catching trout. All around, a nice night on the water. I'll definitely be back to try again soon.
