Fished Rufus Woods At the Chief joseph end, at the cans. May 24-26. Day 1-Fished from about 12 noon till 5 p.m. it was windy, the water level was down quit a bit. I fished from shore along with about 6 others. Saw a couple of nice 5 lbs. caught along with about 6- 20" 2lbs. most folks were using power bait, and a 2 ounce sinker. I got 1 standard 20" 2lbs. Rainbow that day. Day 2- fished from 4:30p.m. till 9:30 p.m. not many people or action ! got another 20" 2 lbs. rainbow, saw 4 other fish caught. fished till dark, water was up, a little wind, not as many bites as the day before. Day 3- fished from4:30 a.m. till 6 a.m., water was down first thing in the a.m.. fishing was hot but cooled off quickly as the sun came up. I got another 20" 2 lbs. rainbow. So my weekend was alright, enough action to keep it interesting, with even the chance of a 20 lbs. rainbow hitting, kept it fun.
