I was wondering why that white plastic chair was hanging on the sign. I had talked to that guy earlier, and he had almost fallen off his boat then. As for the lake condition, the majority of the color is caused by an algae and phosphorus build-up. Snohomish County did a study on the lake from 1995 to 2003, and updated in 2006. Next year will be the lake's worst condition, as is is choking itself. It is near an eso-eutrophic state, all due to a lack of water movement. Residents of the lake do not use chemical fertilizers, and all the septic systems have been upgraded. The only serious man caused addition to the lake is logging that was done on the northeast hills which affected the underground streams that feed the lake. We appreciate the respect to private property most everyone has been adhering to this year. We have committed ourselves to keeping this area as natural as it is now for future generations to enjoy. Happy fishing.
