we put in the water right at noon.. there was a slight southerly wind with scattered clouds and periods of sunshine. i caught on nice fatty about 15 minutes out. the fish turned out to be as finicky as the wind was. we got a ton of bites but ended up boating 9 fish for about 5 hrs fishing. but they were all nice and plump fish. our stringer weighed in at over 12 pounds. some of the fish had markings or 'scars' from the parasites in the lake. i seem to remember this from last year when the lake started to warm up, and it didn't affect the quality of the meat. there were about a half dozen other boats on the lake at the most while we were there and all of the guys we talked to had some fish on board. it was a nice, peaceful day on the lake with enough action to keep us on our toes. the high point of the day, (at least for me), was seeing one of those cool, old aquatic cars (metropolitans?) taking a spin around the lake.
