Been fishing this lake off & on since opening week end. I fish both in boat and on occasion from bank, RIGHT NEXT TO SPILLWAY. Seems to be the only bank fishing spot worth a damm as there is a deep pocket there. Only once have I not brought fish home, usually limit. In my visits, I noticed that light line ( I use 4# ) and limited weight do the trick. Color not a issue in power bait, I have caught big fish on some form of red, caught more fish in volume with something in green. My first time in a boat, went to opposite side of boat launch and shut down motor and drifted. Soon we were registering something like 12 feet water. As we drifted towards center of lake, you could tell it was shallow and at one point I looked over bow of boat and shallow it is in center of lake. There is a pile of beer cans/bottles to be seen clearly ( maybe 2 feet of water ) But edges of lake produce well. I have never been in a boat over 4 hours and not got limit. Weather has varied, but for most part, been a good lake for average size trout and a few healthy fat fish
