Got to the lake about 6:15 am just after Deadeye, KUP and Bad esox. Our friends B and T came with us. We decided not to fight the wind so we went to the north and east sides of Tapps Island to drag crankbaits. Picked up half a dozen smallies, the biggest being about a pound and a half. The neat thing was when I was reeling in a small bass a tiger thought it was lunch time and grabbed the smallie in the middle and didn't turn loose till he hit the side of the boat. I was reeling in the 3/4 pound smallie when he jumped and then suddenly he felt like he was a 20 pounder. When it came to the surface again a 40" Tiger had him in his mouth. Hopefully the picture RG took will show the action when we develop the pictures. (At a later date). While I was retying my lure B was casting and retrieving a pike colored pig and had a follow as he lifted the lure out of the water so threw it back in and the Tiger grabbed it in the middle missing the hooks. It too let go when it got to the boat and we didn't get a picture of it.
All this was going on about 10:00 am.
