Went to clear lake for a little bass fishing after work. On my first cast hooked a eight inch smallmouth then caught two more smaller ones there after. Then i saw her probably ten plus pounds of large mouth bass. she was cruising around watching her baby's I fished her for a little bit with no luck.Giving up on the big one went back to drop shooting a flirt worm in the perch pattern while my wife was throwing a crank bait and catching trout one after another . Then my rod loaded up and the fight was on. staying down i could not tell what it was after about two minutes of fight a four pound smallie came up with a slash then back down to the depths .three more minutes of fight i had her in the boat .The biggest smallie I've caught in that lake. Anything in the perch pattern catches fish on this lake. Please keep it clean and let the green ones go and most of all have fun.
