Still a lot of potholes on way to lake on gravel/dirt road. Snow all gone now. Started at 7am with light rain to misty conditions. Still a bit chilly in high 30s to low 40s and breezy with choppy water. No people around until around 10am. Water level was very high. Most of the normal shoreline was under water. A lot of logs on east end. Ended up removing some of the logs around the boat launch to fish from that area. Within 10 minutes, already had two fish around 12". Maxed out with four rainbows 12-13" and one at 15 1/2". Took pics, will post at a later date. Definitely hitting the purple powerbait and switched to multi-colored powerbait when that container was empty. Fishing about 40-60 feet from shore. By 1pm, there had been 5 boats with about 12 people. Most of the boaters were very impolite and using their big motors around the lake at times. Fish and Game should check this place out, my belief, through personal conversations, there were poachers all week(end). I limited as well as the two guys near me. About 15 shore people. Left around 3pm. A good Fathers Day with one of my sons.
