Early afternoon, about 1pm. Slight breeze, partly cloudy. Tried bottom fishing right from shore for about an hour. No bites. A friend came by in his Lund. He said the rainbows were biting left and right out in the cove. We headed over there for some trolling. Two poles with rooster tails on them, barbless hooks. Lines were in the water for less than 2 minutes and started getting hits. Trolled about 1-3 mph. Trout after trout on the hook. Threw most back, some just got off the hook. Sometimes I'd get one on the hook just as I was feeding the line back into the water. Went back to shore an hour later with 4 nice keepers about 12 inches each. Great day!
